This month, we’ve completely redesigned the onboarding and setup flow to make that process clearer, more personalized, and more helpful than ever.

Every couple’s finances look a little different. Some fully share accounts, others keep things separate, and many live somewhere in between.

The new JoyFi setup flow adapts to how you manage money together. Think of it as a guided wizard that walks you through the key pieces of your plan step by step, providing tailored examples and explanations along the way.

The goal is to make setup feel like you have a partner guiding you, not a checklist to get through.

Let Us Do the Math

Setting up a shared financial plan involves a lot of math behind the scenes, and JoyFi takes care of it for you.

When you enter your income, JoyFi automatically calculates how much each person should contribute to shared expenses based on your chosen split method. Whether you prefer proportional to income, equal contributions, or a custom setup, the platform shows a clear breakdown so you can make informed choices without needing spreadsheets or manual calculations.

This makes it easier to see how much each person contributes while keeping things fair, transparent, and flexible for your personal spending.

An Improved Partner Invite Process

We’ve also made it easier to invite your partner and stay informed about the status of your invite.

You’ll now see clear details about when you sent your invitation, how long it will remain active, and whether your partner has accepted it. If needed, you can cancel or resend an invite directly from your account.

This change gives you more transparency and control, so you always know where things stand as you set up JoyFi together.

For Existing Users

If you already have a plan set up in JoyFi, there’s no need to worry. We’ll automatically carry over your existing setup into the new experience so you can pick up right where you left off.

You’ll still get the benefits of the new design and guidance without losing any of your progress.
